Short Engines
Short engines comprise a cylinder block, crankshaft, connecting rods and pistons. The parts are assembled and ready to use. Short engines are available in a number of forms with options including capacity (3.5 to 5.3 and just about anything in between), materials (cast or forged components), balance (we supply very few unbalanced engines but if they are desired we can accomodate), compression ratio (normally determined by the intended usage), liner design (again, the vast majority are 'top hat' liners now), cross bolting (late type engines all com with 4 bolt main caps) and journal size (the diameter of the main and big end journal on the crank and block). Prices range from £500 to £10,000 depending on the build and will require an exchange engine of some sort in most cases, although outright purchases are considered.
