The Rover V8 Engine
This web site is designed to offer a small insight into the work of V8 Developments. We have, for the past 20 years or so, worked exclusively with the Rover V8 engine in practically every application you could imagine. Our aim is to offer a quality product with as much customer customisation as possible. We cater for customers with a very wide range of requirements in both engine build and usage. If you have need of a Rover V8, for whatever purpose, we would be more than happy to give you a quotation for anything from a standard 3.5 litre engine for use in a classic car for example, right up to a 5.3 litre race prepared engine for a circuit racer.
Services We Provide
We offer a wide range of services to our customers. We are happy to provide diagnostics on engines either installed in the vehicle or as a short / long engine. We make use of an engine test cell (Schenck dynamometer) to bench test engines and plot their output via a data collection system. This allows us to diagnose faults which may be very difficult to assess by external inspection. We also strip and meticulously clean engines supplied to us for assessment. These engines are carefully checked for any irregularity and the customer then informed of our findings and recommendations. We are currently installing a rolling road dynamometer as well, this will give us the ability to test an engine whilst fitted in a vehicle as well as tune the engine for optimum output. Many customers wish there engine to be fitted to the vehicle and we are happy to accommodate.
Performance Upgrades
When it comes to increasing the performance of your Rover V8 engine there is no universal 'fix'. Bearing this in mind we offer a wide range of performance enhancements to suit individual customers. We employ the services of one of the most respected head development specialists in the field and believe that the porting and modifications we achieve give possibly the best results in the world of Rover V8 performance upgrades. The results we achieve are proof in themselves and we are grateful for the feedback our customers provide which give us information on which to build future advancements. We are constantly developing new techniques and product lines to offer as wide a range of upgrades as possible.
